Rancher Greg Moore is a land steward in the true
sense of the word. Every decision made, every action
taken on his 25,000-acre Wagon Mound Ranch
in the northeastern part of the state is done with
consideration of the health and improvement of the land
for all those who depend on it, including himself, his herd
of 400-some cows, and the wildlife that live on and pass
through the ranch. The ranch is under conservation
easement, held by NMLC, “to protect it from development,”
Greg explains, and to preserve all the improvements he’s
made on the property over the years.
